Gulshan Devaiah entered the entertainment industry in 2010 and has been a part of some popular films and web shows. The actor has managed to play a variety of roles and leave us impressed with his versatility. In recent times, he has received praise from all corners for his role in projects like Badhaai Ho, Duranga, Blurr, and Dahaad, among others. He was a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Goliyon Ki Raasleela… Ram-Leela. In the flick, Gulshan essayed the role of an antagonist. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Gulshan Devaiah revealed he was hesitating before signing up for the Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone starter Ram-Leela.

Gulshan Devaiah reveals why he was hesitating before signing Ram-Leela

During the conversation, we asked Gulshan about a role he was hesitant to do. To which he replied, “Not in terms of the character, but in terms of sensibilities. When Ramleela was first offered to me and I just felt like I don’t think I can do this. Because I never imagined myself in a film that Sanjay Leela Bhansali made. I admired it, I was in awe of it, but then I never really saw myself in that.”

He further said that his then-wife Kallirroi suggested he should do the flick. He continued, “That was a pleasant surprise to me because two people, my wife at that point in time and my manager, said that you should do it. One other person also, who is part of the industry, but I don’t get along well with him these days. Even he suggested that I should do it. And they were right. While doing it I did find that I was short-changing myself. I would have regretted not doing it. I really enjoyed that process. I didn’t think that I could fit into that sensibility, but I did.”
