Actor Janhvi Kapoor battled with intense injuries during the shoot of Mr & Mrs Mahi. The movie demanded her to be a cricketer and for the role, Janhvi gave her 100% to look like a sportsperson for the movie. However, her intense cricket session caused her shoulder dislocation not once but twice. Speaking about the same with Bollywood Bubble, Janhvi Kapoor revealed that she was declared ‘unfit’ to play cricket post injury in Mr and Mrs Mahi.
Janhvi Kapoor how the doctor called her ‘worst candidate post injury
The Mili actor exclusively told BB, “After I dislocated my second shoulder that was a good indication. I went to the doctor when my first dislocation happened. I thought it might be a fluke or I was overworked. Then after 3 months, my second dislocation happened so we went to a shoulder specialist. They said that I had multi-directional instability which meant that I was the worst candidate for cricket. He said that she shouldn’t be playing cricket all her life because she is very susceptible to dislocations like it will just pop out.“
Kapoor reveals how she managed to practise despite all the injuries. “By then, we had shot all the talky portions and other scenes of the movie and only cricket was left. So Sharan exclaimed we can’t even remove her now. So then we had a strategy. Every time we had to train to play cricket, I had to tape up my shoulders to keep it in place. I had a cap of about 60 balls but we ended up reaching 100 balls a day. I could not even play with a season ball so the team had even changed to a machine ball.,” she continued.
