EXCLUSIVE: Janhvi Kapoor says Sridevi-Boney Kapoor never wanted her to be an actor, “They wanted a quieter life for me”

Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao have been promoting for upcoming film Mr and Mrs Mahi. The actors have given multiple interviews and spoken about their film at length. The enthusiasts recently appeared at an interview with Bollywood Bubble. Both, Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao shared insights about their movie and personal lives. Rajkummar revealed that he had clear communication with his family and enjoyed their support for his career. In contrast, Janhvi, despite her film industry background, had a different experience regarding parental support for her career choices.

Rajkummar said, “No, since I was a kid I was pretty sure I wanted to be a movie actor. I want to be an actor and do this for the rest of my life and I never thought of doing something else. Since 9th- 10th I was pretty clear and my parents were very supportive of this idea and they were there when I needed them.”

When quizzed Janhvi about the same, she said, “My parents never really wanted me to be an actor. It was always my dream, so, I don’t think I am living my parent’s dream. I think they would’ve wanted I guess, a quieter and more relaxed life for me. But, I definitely feel like at least the attempt is to try and take my mother’s legacy forward and make my parents proud.”

Further the Mr and Mrs Mahi also opened up getting affected because of deep fake and surgery news about them. Kapoor and Rao indulged in a fun game segment with the host as well.

Mr and Mrs Mahi is all set to release on 31st of May. The movie is helmed by Sharan Sharma.
