Jisshu Sengupta on his rivalry with Abir Chatterjee
We asked the actor what are his thoughts when people pit actors. To this he shared, “From Bengal, me and Abir Chatterjee are compared, but we are not rivals. I used to play Byomkesh, even he used to. He was the earlier Byomkesh, then I was one and then again he became Byomkesh. Until today I have stopped playing Bakshi. I’ve done three films and actually because he started I stopped. Even today I hear, you guys are fighting against each other is said. I insisted Mai toh chod diya ( I clarified that I left this long back). So this is what I believe is Media created.”

Ravi Teja added, “Hum log ladte nahi hai, ladvate ho aaplog (We don’t fight, media creates rift between us).“
Jisshu further said, “10 to 20% it happens, but rest 80% has been created because of the publicity also from say the production house way or it is something film aa raha hai purana baat nikalo (if the film is coming, let’s dig out something). So you know it is a publicity stunt and also a media push. I understand you and we both are the co-related. You need us for any kind of content, we need you so that we are out there.”
Ravi Teja added, “The whole thing is sab kuch positive hi nahi, thoda bahut negative bhi hona chahiye. Drama hona chahiye.”
