EXCLUSIVE: Kapil Sharma reveals wife Ginni Chatrath helped to overcome drinking phase: Uska bohot bada haath tha mujhe nikalne mein

There was a time when actor Kapil Sharma went through a rough patch when he was dealing with depression and drinking. During that phase, the media thought he has ended his career. However, it was Kapil Sharma ‘s wife Ginni Chatrath who helped him battle his drinking phase and to overcome it. Talking about the same, Kapil Sharma spoke about his wife Ginni’s role in getting out of his drinking phase.

Kapil on Ginni’s role during his depression:

During an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, the Firangi actor told us, “Jab aap theek karne jaate ho na un cheezon ko, woh aur waste hoti jaati hai I think. Kyunki aap sahi state of mind mein nahi rehte ho. Aap uss samay peace mein nahi rehte ho. Jab lagane na ki sab ulta sidha chal raha hai, toh thoda sa baith jana chahiye, wait karna chahiye. Toh maine bhi yehi socha but Ginni aa gayi hai toh shaadi se pehele uska gauna ek saal pehele hogaya tha.”

“Jis tarah se courage ussne dikhaya wo bohot bada cheez thi. Wo bohot well-to-do family se aati hai lekin hamare jo values hai ki beti shaadi se pehele kaise chali gayi Mumbai, like typical punjabi family. But ussne jo courage dikhaya and mujhe nikal ke le gayi Mumbai se bahar ki sablog na tujhse yehi chaah rahe hai, main chah rahi hu ki tu sahi ho jaa. Mujhe ye nahi hai ki hamari shaadi hogi ya nahi hogi, tu thik hoga fir main chali jaayungi wapas. So uska bohot bada haath tha mujhe nikalne mein. Shayad isliye bolte hai na ki jodiya upar se banti hai. Ha toh wo phase main bohot bura lagta tha, lekin uss ke baad jab main wapas aaya hu na, toh bohot saari cheezin affect karne hi bandh hogayi thi,” Kapil further continued.

The Zwigato actor has a sassy response to the trolls, as he told us, “After coming out of the depression, a lot of things stopped affecting me. For example, things that are written on social media, I say ‘get lost’. That’s it. The more people love the more criticism follows you, and the level of criticism increases basis on your fame.”
