Can you tell us something about your journey in showbiz and how it has evolved you as a person and actor?
My journey in the showbiz business has been adventurous which has been lots of fun. Because I’ve gone from doing so many different things and knocking on so many doors to now coming to a place where people are starting to recognize my work, which has been my priority. I wanted to do big commercial projects as well but I’ve always wanted to progress in my craft and that’s been happening in this journey so far. I have been meeting the right people who helped me develop and evolve as an actor and as a person.

Why were you away from the TV after your successful stint in Ishq Subhan Allah?
I was pursuing my other medium of art, which is writing and I’ve just found out that I like to direct as well. So, I was working on a personal project.
You left your budding career in Dubai and came to Mumbai to be an actor. How do you reflect on that decision of yours?
I’m the luckiest guy in the world for taking that decision because it was God who guided me. It wasn’t like growing up I always wanted to be an actor. But I just knew that I wasn’t enjoying my 9 to 5 job even though the money was great. I felt amazing after watching the film and was sure that acting was something I wanted to do. After that, I packed my bags and came to Mumbai.
Tell us something about your struggle in the industry and what has been your takeaway from it.
My biggest challenge has been how to stay motivated. I think it’s hard to not give in to the dark side like sadness, depression, and all of that nonsense due to various reasons. I call it nonsense because I found it very easy to give in to that and didn’t like being in that state of mind.
Your current show, Katha Ankahee revolves around the concept of how complicated love is. What is your take on love and relationships? What kind of partner do you want in real life?
I think love is the most beautifully complicated thing in the world. The problem is we complicate it. In essence, it’s just very pure. Having said that, I am actually a sucker for love and think it’s the most beautiful thing in the world. What people do end up doing for love is just phenomenal. Talking about what kind of partner I want, the person should be kind and be a good vibing human being.
