Influencer Kritika Malik is the first contestant to get evicted from the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house at the Grand finale. She entered the house with her husband Armaan Malik and his first wife Payal Malik. However, among the three, Payal was the first one to leave the house and just ahead of the grand finale BBOTT 3, Armaan was evicted. During their stay, they were constantly under the radar for promoting polygamy. Several celebs even slammed the trio for glorifying polygamy on national television. While some slammed Payal for allowing a second marriage, some called Kritika ‘witch’ for being the second wife. Even Armaan gained immense hatred from social media for the same.
Kritika Malik on supporting polygamy
Talking about supporting polygamy, Kritika Malik said that neither she nor her husband and Payal are ‘pro-polygamy’. During an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Kritika said, “Logon ka kaam hai bolna, mera koi bhi interview uthala, open challenge karti hu, maine, Armaan ji aur Payal ne kabhi nahi bola ki ‘we support polygamy’. We don’t support it at all aur main aapse bhi yehi bolungi ki kabhi 2 shaadiyaan naa kare.” (It’s people’s job to talk. Pick up any of my interviews, I openly challenge, neither I, Armaan, nor Payal have ever said that ‘we support polygamy’. We don’t support it at all, and I would also tell you to never marry twice.)
Kritika Malik on having suicidal thoughts
When asked about having suicidal thoughts after getting married to Armaan for being the second wife. She said, “Jab meri shaadi hui thi, mujhe itni samaj nahi aa rahi thi shaadi hogayi. Uske baad kuch time hamari time kharab hui, hum alag hogaye teeno. Ek se dedh saal alag rahi aur suicide karne ki koshish kari, depression thi kyuki ek point aagaya tha ki hum teeno alag hogaye hai aur kuch samjh nahi aa raha tha. Fir uske baad jab hum vapas mile fir samjh aayi ki aapke liye aapki family hi important hai. In the aapki family hi hai, log bolke chale jaayenge. Uss din se thaan liya tha ki rahenge toh teeno saath rahenge, milke cheezon ka saamna karenge but support nahi karte polygamy ko. Humne kari hai but aap mat kariye.“
(When I got married, I didn’t quite understand that I was married. After some time, we went through a rough patch, and the three of us separated. We lived apart for a year and a half, and I tried to commit suicide and was depressed because we had reached a point where the three of us were separated, and I couldn’t understand anything. Then, after we got back together, I realized that your family is the most important thing for you. In the end, it’s your family that stays; people will come and go. From that day, I decided that if we were going to live, we would live together and face things together, but we do not support polygamy. We have done it, but you should not.)
