Mahesh Bhatt has given the Indian cinema some of the most beloved movies. The acclaimed director dons many hats and one of them is a writer’s. He now makes his comeback as a writer with the release of his latest movie 1920: Horrors of the Heart. Mahesh Bhatt has a star-studded family and he is the father of Bollywood’s most versatile actor Alia Bhatt. He is also the father of Saheen Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt. He has one son Rahul Bhatt.

Mahesh Bhatt talks about the female energy, his daughters and granddaughter

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mahesh Bhatt spoke about the personal and professional female influence in his life. He said, “I come from a home where the mother for me is a central figure. I have sisters too, so to be listening to women has been the easiest thing for me. As a male did not feel threatened that they showed me the path and I followed it. I am glad that it is reflected in my movies. I respect women much more deeply than what I may show or demonstrate outside.”

Showcasing the pride he has in his daughters Alia, Pooja and Shaheen and also mentioning his happiness in becoming a grandfather to Raha Kapoor, he said, “Now I am a proud father of three daughters and grandfather to one granddaughter. There you go again women there.”

He added, “So, the Shakti, the energy has been my north star. I have lost a lot of times in my life but some women’s force has always helped me to keep me afloat.”

Mahesh Bhatt spoked about his sense of pride in his daughters achieving so much and being an integral part of every discussion. He said, “It’s like they have given my wrinkles a new sheen. My wrinkled brand gets rejuvenated thanks to my young and brilliant daughters.”

During the candid conversation, Mahesh also hinted at quitting direction post Sadak 2.
