EXCLUSIVE: Did Mahesh Bhatt make Manisha Rani feel uncomfortable? BB OTT 2 contestant responds

Manisha Rani emerged as one of the most entertaining contestants on Bigg Boss OTT 2 this year. Be it her sense of humour or her flirting with Abhishek Malhan, Elvish Yadav and Jad Hadid, she always entertained her fans. One incident, however, came in light during her journey when Mahesh Bhatt went inside the house and in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Manisha Rani gave clarification on the same.

The filmmaker went in the house to support daughter Pooja Bhatt during family week. When he went in and met Manisha, he held her in a way that many people outside found weird. A lot of discussion happened online saying that Manisha felt uncomfortable from that. However, when we asked Manisha about the same, she denied it completely.

Responding to those assumptions, Manisha said, “Nahi aisa bilkul nahi tha. Mahesh Bhatt bahut bade director hain, to ab jab wo enter kiye to mujhe laga ki ‘Mahesh Bhatt’ se milne ka mauka mil raha hai. Mere liye to sab pehla pehla hai, new experience hai. (No, it was not at all like that. Mahesh Bhatt is a big director and when he entered, I felt fortunate that I am getting to meet him. For me, it was a first experience.)”

She added, “Mere liye to wo mere papa jaise hain, uncle jaise hain. Maine pranam kiya, wo hug kiye. To agar ye sab baahar jata hai to ye bahut galat hai kyunki baap bhi beti ko pyar se hug karta hai. Iska matlab ye nahi ki intention galat hota hai. To intention, intention ki baat hai. Mujhe to bilkul bhi aisa nahi laga, na hi aisa hai. This is wrong agar iske baare mein bola gaya hai. (He is like my father or my uncle. I greeted him and he hugged me. So, if it goes out in some other way that is wrong as even a father hugs his daughter out of love. It doesn’t mean the intention is wrong. So, it’s all about the intention. I didn’t feel anything wrong or uncomfortable at all. It is wrong if it is said otherwise).”

Manisha on people’s perception

When pointed out that it was her audience that perceived the situation that way, Manisha responded, “Normal logon ka bhi agar ye hai, to ye galat hai. Aap hamesh kisi cheez ko negative way mein nahi le sakte hain. Aur wo 24 ghante live dekh rahe hain, to maine kabhi apne baaton mein aisa nahi kaha andar. Mera aisa hai ki jab log mujhe real maan rahe hain, to mera jo bhi andar se feel hoga hum bol denge. To mujhe aisa kuch bilkul bhi feel nahi hua, to wo aisa kaise soch sakte hain? (Even if people outside have said it, it’s wrong. You can’t take everything in a negative way. If the audience was seeing me 24X7, then they know that I ever said that I felt uncomfortable. If people find me real, I say whatever I feel straightaway. So, I never felt anything wrong so how can people think this way?)”

Manisha eventually ended up in 3rd place this season, behind the top 2- Elvish and Abhishek. She got a lot of love and adulation from the audience. She is also reported to have been approached to go inside the house. Is she going to say yes to it or not, she even revealed that in our conversation.
