EXCLUSIVE: Manoj Bajpayee recalls director Yash Chopra saying ‘NO’ to working with him after Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta starrer Veer Zaara

Actor Manoj Bajpayee made an impactful appearance in Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta starrer Veer Zaara despite having a cameo. He played Preity’s character’s fiance Razaa Shirazi in the movie who destroys Veer and Zaara’s love story. But did you know that Yash Chopra said that he can’t work with him after Veer Zaara? During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Manoj revealed that Yash ji doesn’t make movies like he does and he didn’t give him any false hope.

Manoj exclusively told us, “Nahi, wada nahi kiya but kaha thi ki tumhari tarike ki filmein hi nahi banata. Tumhare jaise logon ki filmein nahi banata toh main kaha se tumhe vaada kar du aur wo bohot achi baat lagi mujhe. Toh wo mujhe false hope nahi dena chahte the mujhko. At the same time, bohot respect karte the as an actor. Mere kaam ko bohot pasand kiya tha unhone jo mera kaam tha aur unhone ye bhi kaha tha ki jab tak Veer Zaara rahegi tab tak teri tarif rahegi which is true. Main kahi bhi jaata hu, log baate kar rahe hai.“
