nakash aziz, diljit dosanjh,

Nakash Aziz is a Bollywood singer who has worked as a composer with A.R. Rahman. He is best known for singing the title track of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor starrer Loveyapa. Nakash Aziz supports Diljit Dosanjh on better concert infrastructure in India

Talking about the concert infrastructure of India, Nakash Aziz extends his support to fellow artist Diljit Dosanjh. He said, “Actually we are so involved in doing what we do that we have gotten used to ignoring it. So when someone like Diljit brings it to our notice then it’s a new thing. There is a problem, and it is not of criticism. It’s a requirement and it is only for safety. We often see light people climbing without safety harnesses, and electrical people working without wearing gloves. It’s a common sight everywhere in India. Even garbage pickers don’t wear any protection, they wear, t-shirts, and shorts and work with bare hands. It’s something we are cool about. I hope this changes one day.”

He added, “Talking of safety it’s very much required anywhere. Agar aisa kuch hojaaye khuda na khaasta kisi ke show main, it will be so sad. As an artist agar mere show main kisike saath kuch hojaaye, due any laparwaahi, anyone getting hurt or gets into an accident, it will be my responsibility. And, sadly artists are not taken seriously when they are trying to address some issue. We want the world to be a better place, I hope things change.”

Nakash Aziz reacts to people trolling Diljit Dosanjh after Coldplay concert

Nakash also reacted to people trolling Diljit after Coldplay’s Ahmedabad concert. The singer said, “Also I think people did not receive it well. I recently saw an Instagram post, where people at the Coldplay concert praised the concert infrastructure. The last page also criticised Diljit saying we have good infrastructure and that he should not have said anything. Coldplay carries all their equipment with them, they have safety equipment and they travel with it when they are going for a show. As we know they are strict, and they make their requirements clear before any show. And if their promises are not kept they won’t perform. And because they are a firangi band we give them that respect and we adhere to their rules.”

Nakash shares an incident when he had to cancel a show due to a lack of equipment. Aziz shared, “If an Indian artist such as myself had a show in an NIT, and we had sent a list of equipment and necessary items required. It was at least two months in advance, a list of things we require to perform a good show. But to save say 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, or 40,000 rupees they didn’t honour our requirements and kept taalofying us. They could not give it to us and we could not perform. What people don’t understand is that we want to do a good show. Apna kya chalta hai, kya hoga types are the attitude of people, which is why I think we should set high standards.”

Nakash Aziz on crowd check during concerts

The Loveyapa singer concluded, “Yes, I have seen this happening. You know if there is a capacity of 3000 people in an auditorium but there is no crowd check. That’s something that I as an artist a not supposed to look into. We want as many people as possible to come and watch the show, but not at this cost. We don’t want to compromise the safety of people. So the only reason, why Coldplay and others are doing such shows is because they want multiple people to be a part of it. They want people to come the next day and the day after. Did you know Coldplay is doing a 10-day concert in London? As long as there is the demand why don’t we? And money is good, money is good in the making. So we shouldn’t be greedy. It’s always more than just a foolish wala kaam. And what is more important than someone’s life?”
