EXCLUSIVE: Nawazuddin Siddiqui recalls feeling insecure about his colour in his initial days: Bahot saari cream use ki lekin kuch nahi hua

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a very well-known and renowned actor in the entertainment industry. The actor has come a very long way by playing prominent roles in series and movies like Kick, Sacred Games, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and many more. Recently, he also starred in Haddi and essayed a never-before-seen character which proves his versatility in acting. Time and again, Nawazuddin has spoken about his struggles of becoming an actor and his journey.

Now, Nawazuddin Siddiqui joined us for an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble. During the candid chat, he spoke about conventionality and unconventionality in the industry. This led him to speak about his insecurities during which he made a surprising revelation.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui recalls feeling insecure about his complexion

In a hearty conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Nawazuddin Siddiqui delved into the context where there are voices that speak about looking ‘perfect’ as an actor. Speaking about this, Nawazuddin had a very thoughtful opinion stating that it is important to feel confident in your own skin. Nawazuddin said, “Apne look ko leke confident hona bahot zaroori hai. Kahi naa kahi, insecurity logon ke through aati hai. Bahot saare aas paas ke log bolte hai ke ‘yaar apni naak ko thik kara le, lip ko thik kara le, yeh job kara le wo job kara le’. I think wo insecurity hoti hogi.“

He added, “Agar aap confident rahe, toh usse khoobsurat aur kya hi hai. Yaani ke aap apne face pe shaq kar rahe hai toh wo kahi naa kahi bahot hi galat hai.” (It is important to feel confident with your looks. Sometimes, insecurity comes through people. A lot of them suggest doing lips jobs, nose jobs, and ‘look perfect’. I think it can be an insecurity. Nothing is beautiful when you feel confident. It is wrong if you are doubting your look.)

Adding about insecurity, Nawazuddin revealed he was insecure about his complexion in his earlier days. He said, “Shuru me mere rang ko leke bahot hota tha. Bahot saari cream use ki maine lekin kuch nahi hua. Baadme mujhe samaj me aa gaye ke jo hai wo hai.” (There was a lot of insecurity about my color. I have used many creams but nothing happened. Later, I understood that it is what it is!)

Some time ago, Nawazuddin had also shared an old pic of himself with an unmissable caption that spoke more than what it read. He wrote, “Many years ago, when I use to question myself, “तेरा क्या होगा रे कालिया ?”

Well, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a prime example that talent speaks louder than looks and insecurities. And this is one of the reasons why he is loved immensely by his fans and why netizens look forward to seeing him on the screens.
