nora fatehi injury

Actress and dancer Nora Fatehi has been basking in the glory after her new album Snake alongside international singer Jason Derulo. Nora Fatehi on working despite her leg injury

The actress on working despite her injury, says, “It’s been hard. Honestly, I had never had such a serious injury before in my entire career. Even when I had no career and was just dancing at school, I never really injured anything. That was a major injury for me. I just couldn’t get out of how sad and upset I was. I was so upset at my body. I kept thinking, ‘Just recover, you know?’. I’m someone who has to work.”

She further continued, “It’s funny because I was told I would recover within three months. But after three months, I still wasn’t fully recovered. Mentally, I couldn’t stay home and do nothing anymore. I had to work. So, I called Honey, I called Karan, and I called everyone, saying, ‘Let’s start shooting’. They said I wasn’t ready, but I told them, ‘It doesn’t matter. Let’s start shooting’. I’m still in pain, but kya karun? I can’t let anyone think they can take my place. So, I’ve got to hustle nonstop.”

Nora Fatehi on experiencing LA fire

When questioned about her disastrous experience in the LA fires, she responded, “It’s funny because I was told I might have to evacuate because the fires were closing in. I thought, ‘I’m in Hollywood, inside the city, so why would the fire come here’? And, I didn’t think it would happen. So, I was chilling with a friend when he got a call saying he needed to pack. I went to pack, taking my sweet time, and then suddenly, I got that phone alert to evacuate. I thought, “This has never happened before. This is so crazy.”

Nora further shared, “That day, I had a flight to come back. I kept thinking, ‘If I’m evacuating and packing, where do I go? Do I go to the airport and wait there? Where do I go?’ They were saying the highways might close, so it was quite a panic. I feel really bad for people who didn’t know what to do, who were stuck, and who lost everything. You can’t compare. I was just there for work and visiting. I didn’t have my belongings, sentimental things, or a home there like others. They lost their homes and things that money couldn’t buy.”

Continuing, she said, “I was just a bystander, watching, and I felt really bad. The day I was evacuating, I was in the same area as his (Jason Derulo) house. There’s a big hill near his place, and you could see the fire coming from there, the smoke rising. My heart goes out to everyone.”
