EXCLUSIVE: Pearl V Puri recalls the ‘worst phase of his life’, reveals hallucinating and seeing his dad

Pearl V Puri has worked in hit tv serials like Naagin, Bepanaah Pyaar, Brahmarakshas among others. However, there was a rough patch in his life in 2021 after case was filed against Pearl V Puri for molesting a 5-year-old girl after which he was sent to jail on 4^th June 2021. After 11 days in judicial custody, he was granted bail. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Pearl V Puri opened up about what effect did jail term had on him. He even spoke about hallucinating and even reminisced Sushant Singh Rajput.

Pearl V Puri recalled how jail term affected him

When we asked Pearl how did that period changed and affected him. He recalled, “For 10 days I didn’t eat or drink anything. I was hallucinating. I saw my dad out there who was no more. So definitely it was the worst phase of my life and I was this close of killing myself. I was there because I thought dad is no more, mom is so unwell going through chemotherapies. Mere saath kya hoga, jab thik hoga ab tak kya hoga (What will happen with me and how will everything be when it gets fine). The thoughts were so disturbing but I would want to say that, mat karo kisi ke saath itna bura(Don’t do bad to someone).”

The actor further insisted, “Mujhe kuch hojata toh, mumma ka kaun dhyan rakhta ya unhe kuch hojata toh (What if something had happened to me. Who would take care of my mom? What if anything happened to her?) Never ever be so inhuman to people, to anybody. I still don’t curse anybody. I’ve never cursed anybody in my entire life but I would want to tell this, I just want to take this out. That everybody, mai bhi kisi ka beta hu na, mere me bhi emotions hai, mai feel karta hu cheezein aur mujhe bhi kuch ho sakta hai. Jo bhi log mujhse pyaar karte hai wo kitna hurt hone mujhe kuch hoga toh. (I am also someone’s son, I also have emotions, and something can happen to me. Those people who love me must be so hurt by what happened).”

He also reminisced Sushant Singh Rajput and said, “Aaj Sushant nahi hain a duniya mai, jo bhi use pyaar karte hai they are still so hurt including me. But wo toh chala gaya na. Jo bhi kuch uske saath hua ya usne face kiya. I want ki yaat insaan ki tarah raho. (Today Sushant is not in the world, whoever loves him is still so hurt. But he is gone now because of whatever he suffered. My only request to all is that behave like humans). If we behave like this, what’s the difference between us and animals then.”

On the work front, Pearl recently made his Bollywood debut with Yaariyan 2 alongside Divya Khosla Kumar and Meezan Jafri. He is currently shooting another movie. When we asked about it, he refrained spilling beans about it.
