Pooja Bhatt breaks her silence on being labelled ‘gyaan girl’

Pooja told us, “Well, I think ye ‘gyaan girl’ ka hashtag mujhe mila tha. Aur ek time pe mein confuse thodi hogayi ki log joh bol rahe hai ki gyaan kya bura shabd hai. Acha banna kya bura hai? Dignified behaviour is uncool. Thode seconds ke liye mein jara hil gayi but then I was like nahi I’m not going to play to the gallery. Joh main hu, I am going to be me. Woh agar duniya ke liye kaafi nahi hai, then that’s too bad. I’d rather be disliked for who I am, then be liked for what I am not. (Well, they gave me the hashtag of ‘gyaan girl’. At one point, I got confused and was thinking is knowledge a bad word. What’s wrong with being nice? Dignified behaviour is uncool. For a few seconds I was shaken but then I was like no I’m not going to play to the gallery. I am going to be me. If that’s not enough for the world, then that’s too bad).”

Pooja added, “So, I think that I went there without any emotional or physical makeup. And I think that I was able to hold on to my beliefs, to my value systems. I never ever backed off from my conscious. Joh mere conscious ne kaha ki ye galat hai, woh maine nahi kiya. Aur joh mere conscious ne kaha aapko karna hi hai, woh maine kiya. So, I think that’s the game. Accha nahi banna hai, saccha banna hai. And I think main sacchi rahi and that’s the victory. (Whatever my conscious said is wrong, I didn’t do that. And I did what my conscious told me to do. So, I think that’s the game. It’s not about being nice, it’s about being truthful. And I think I was truthful and that’s the victory).”

During the candid conversation, Pooja also reacted to Elvish Yadav winning the reality show, slammed Abhishek Malhan and a lot more.
