EXCLUSIVE: Pooja Hegde quips ‘I learn about my life through media’, REACTS to nasty reports

Actress Pooja Hegde is currently gearing up for the release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-starring Salman Khan. The actress was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus with Ranveer Singh but failed to leave a mark at the box office.

Pooja who is currently busy promoting her upcoming movie KBKKJ sat down for an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble. She not only opened up on how she deals with trolls but also about some ridiculous media reports.

Speaking about ridiculous media reports she said, “I learn about my life through media, I just keep reading stuff about me and I’m like wow I didn’t know about it. My parents sent me articles say with a question mark asking if it was true and I’m like thank you for sending it. Recently it was like the producers in some film bought me a car to keep me more comfortable or something. I sent a screenshot of that to my producer saying your surprise has been ruined. He’s like ha ha ha, and I said what is he only laughing for give me the car that I have become infamous for at least? I just get these things people keep writing about me and I’m like at least make it true you know. So I learn a lot about my life about what films I’m doing through the media.”

On facing criticism post-Cirkus failure

Speaking about facing criticism post the failure of Cirkus Pooja Hegde said, “I think what where I got saved. Because when I had hit films, Blockbuster films, successful films, I never took that so much to my heart uh so that’s why I don’t take failure so much to my heart because I’ve seen failure at the start of my career. Also, my career hasn’t been smooth sailing, offers have just kept coming to me. When I was successful I remembered the times when I didn’t have work.

So that has kind of kept me uh going and I can’t complain yeah God gave me six Blockbuster films back to back you know, that’s insane so I feel like what’s the thing but at the end of the day. Was I at the editing table no, Was I the director no Was I writing the script no . didn’t do anything of that, as an actor did my best for the role.”

Pooja further added, “People come back to me saying oh my God I didn’t know you had this range, or You know this emotional scene you did very well. Those are things that I take back. If I have to work with Rohit Shetty again I would do it, because I’m a fan of his work. I think as actors we should be allowed to fail absolutely that’s the most important thing because the artists yeah at the end of the day you know if we don’t fail if we don’t experiment then how can we give you something new.”

 Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, starring Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde is directed by Farhad Samjhi. The movie also features Venkatesh, Palak Tiwari, Shehnaaz Gill, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill and more. It is slated to release in theatres on April 21.
