Pratik Gandhi on his rapport with Do Aur Do Pyaar co-star Vidya Balan

Remembering his scenes with Vidya Balan, Pratik shared some anecdotes. The actor said, “When you have an actor like Vidya who cannot control her laughter at any cost, and when she laughs, it’s such an infectious laughter that not just her, but the entire floor ends up laughing, it becomes a challenge. Despite multiple readings, when we were shooting the scene, she was standing right next to me, and we just couldn’t stop laughing.”

Remembering his Vespa ride with Vidya Balan, Pratik said, “So in this scene, we tied a rod and all that. This vehicle wasn’t running on its own; they drove it a little bit. Yes, they did drive it a little. And I had to sit there, pretending to be scared, while we were driving on the highway in Ooty. Honestly, I didn’t have to pretend much because I was genuinely scared while sitting there. So, in a way, these were very real performances.”

Talking about his fondness towards Vidya Balan

The actor further continued, “Vidya has this virtue—wherever she goes, the moment she enters the set, she brings a very light, happy, and positive energy. This made things very comfortable, which was essential for me, especially because I was working with an actor like Vidya Balan for the first time in my life. When you’re playing husband and wife, you need to depict that lived-in chemistry and that can only happen when one actor genuinely makes the other feel comfortable. I give her full credit for this, even though she probably did it unknowingly, just by being her regular self. She’s the same with everyone—such a natural and warm presence on set.”

Pratik Gandhi was recently seen in Agni, Dedh Bigha Zameen and Madgaon Express. The actor also discussed his roles in his past movies and the impact of all those characters in his real life. Pratik also shared about his relationship with his father and dedicated his acting journey to him.
