Pratik Gandhi about his scenes from Madgaon Express

Talking about his drug scene from Madgaon Express, Pratik Gandhi shared some inside details. Pratik, “There’s a scene where he overdoses so much that he starts bleeding from everywhere because the blood pressure is high. There’s bleeding, and then he becomes a beast. He feels like he can take over the entire world. So, Kunal Kemmu told me, “Go all out, just do it,” and we did. I guess we took a couple of retakes, and I tried a couple of things.”

Talking about the shooting of the scene without using any toxic substance, Pratik hinted on the alternate that was used. Gandhi said, “This scene wasn’t just about powder. It involved talcum powder and wheat flour. Initially, we tried glucose powder, but when I got up from the bed, the powder wouldn’t scatter—it stuck everywhere. Then we thought of just using wheat flour. But the first time we used it, it stuck again. So, we cleaned everything and mixed wheat flour with a bit of rice flour, the dry kind that doesn’t stick, like the flour used when rolling chapatis. When it came to the take, I had to keep it ready and only scatter it when the shot began. I kept it near my mouth but not inside so that when I got up, the powder would fly everywhere. It was very technical.”

The film was a theatrical hit and loved by the audience. The film also had other actors like Kunal Khemu, Avinash Tiwary, Divyenndu, Nora Fatehi. It was helmed by Kunal Khemu and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
