EXCLUSIVE: Priyanka Chahar Choudhary says ‘Mummy-papa ko bhi wo acha lagta hai’ as she reacts to relationship rumours with Ankit Gupta

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was one of the most popular contestants on Bigg Boss 16. Her relationship with Ankit Gupta who was also in BB house as a contestant has been the talk of the town. The actors had shared screen space in the popular serial Udaariyaan. Their chemistry in the BB house was much loved by fans. Soon rumours of Priyanka Chahar, Ankit Gupta being in a relationship hit headlines. Though Priyanka has often stated that they are just friends.

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host, the actress opened up on her bond with Ankit Gupta. She also revealed if her parents were affected by the rumours of them being in a relationship. Also about how the rumours affected her bond with Ankit Gupta.

Priyanka Chahar on her parents:

Priyanka said, “No, we have not spoken about any such particular thing at home. My parents know that whatever I will do will be right. They have confidence in me that I will not do anything stupid or take any wrong decisions in my life. My family members are simple people who do not know anything about this environment. It was the first time that they had come to my shoot. It was for the first time my parents had caught a flight to come on Bigg Boss. They are very simple people and If I ever tell them that I like this boy or that. They will always respect my decision and support it. But of course, they will like to know about him. But when I was in Bigg Boss house and rumours about me and Ankit hit headlines, my mummy and papa were not worried because they know in the end, she will not do anything wrong. If there is something then she will come and tell us. So whatever is there is all in front of them. In fact, Papa and mummy also like Ankit very much. So it is a sorted scene I don’t have to explain. They know he is just a friend.”

Priyanka Chahar on Ankit Gupta

She further opened up on if the rumours affected her relationship with Ankit. Priyanka said, “In the BB house, we never knew what is going on outside. But within the BB house, nothing affected our relationship. Even when we came out of the Bigg Boss house, there were so many rumours and everyone was asking if we have thought to be more than friends or not. But we both are quite clear and often share a laugh about the rumours. We are like, ‘our relation is so adorable and we share a beautiful bond of friendship’. Currently, we are not paying much attention to all that, as he is working and even I am busy, so we both are quite sorted and moving ahead with a focused mind. Our bond is so strong that any comments by a third person do not affect our relationship.“
