EXCLUSIVE: Radhikka Madan justifies age gap with Akshay Kumar in Sarfira; says, “We are yet to find role where older women romance younger guys”

Radhikka Madan was recently seen in Sarfira with Akshay Kumar and she received praise for her performance. When the film released a lot of conversation around the 29-year-old actress romancing 56-year-old actor were doing rounds. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, the actress addresses the age-gap and shares she wish to see a scenario other way round i.e, old actress romancing young guys.

During the chat, we asked Radhikka about the chatter around the age gap and she said, “I agree that we have yet to find roles where we don’t see much older woman with younger guy. We’ve seen it maybe in some projects like The Suitable Boy and other projects. But not as frequent as we see the other way round. With Sarfira, it was written in the screen we justified it a lot from the word go. My opening scene justifies why she is doing what she’s doing and they were more than the exterior or the superficiality of it. They were connected to each other’s minds a lot. That’s the reason it felt fair when I signed on this project But yes, I would want to see the other way around as well more frequently.”

Talking about how Akshay is a graceful actor, the actress says, “I think it was at our screening in Pune. Where in front of people he said that it’s one of the best performances of mine he has seen. And I was hearing this for the first time from his mouth and I was like, what? He has always been very kind and appreciative. That just showcases his grace And there is a greatness that you are encouraging new talent or validating or raising them. So I think he has a lot of grace in him.”
