Kalathil Kuzhiyil Devadasan Dilin Nair is better known by his stage name Raftaar. He is a rapper, lyricist, dancer, actor, TV personality and music composer associated with Hindi, Punjabi and Haryanvi music. He started his career as a dancer. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Raftaar reacts to past disagreements with Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah.
Raftaar talks about past disagreements
Talking about certain disagreements in the past, Raftaar said, “I believe there are certain things that happen for the best. And I say this because if I hadn’t received the shock then, we wouldn’t have been individuals. Hum bhi bas likh hi rahe hote ya saath ghum rahe hote, humaara khudhka vajud nahi hota. All I can say is that whatever disagreements happened, whatever came out, usme see jo nikle unka faayda hua hai, that’s all I want to say.”
He continued, “And yes, there can be disagreements; we were young back then too. When we look at this matter today, we realize it is a very small matter, but yes, there’s one more realization, especially for me, that this is the algorithm. As long as Google AdWords remembers our names, people will remember us, no matter how people remember us. As long as you take our names, our work won’t stop. We stay relevant like this; it’s not a big thing that I said on camera, but it can become a huge thing, and automatically your explore section will search for Raftaar.”
Raftaar on disagreements between Yo Yo Honey Singh & Badshah
Raftaar in the same interview comments on past disagreements between Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah, “I’m watching the monkeys dance like showmen. I’m having so much fun; they’ve made me crazy, and I’m enjoying it, honestly. I don’t need to say much; I can just drop three names: Honey Singh, Badshah, and Raftaar. This video has become quite a hit. It will be memed, reaching here and there. I’m free to do whatever; I’ve been at home for 14 years, so I have no problem. I only need to release one song a year, and Raftaar’s name stays on top in searches. You can’t ignore the name.”
Raftaar concluded, “Thank you for making my life easier, man. Do you think this pushes me? Not at all, because look, this matter is so old; it’s over and we’ve moved on. But in our conversations, there are millions of people interested, as if it’s personal to them. That’s a good thing, right? Stay invested, my friend.”
