Mirzapur fame Rajesh Tailang was recently seen in Ulajh along with Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathews. The actor has worked in notable films and shows like Haseena Parkar, Aiyaary, Delhi Crime, Bandish Bandits, Trial By Fire. But he garnered utmost fame after playing Ramakant Pandit in the Mirzapur series. As he has worked with Janhvi, during an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rajesh was asked about his working experience with star kids like Janhvi and Shraddha Kapoor.

Rajesh played a government agent and driver in Ulajh. Whereas he essayed the role of Haseena’s lawyer in Shraddha Kapoor starrer Haseena Parkar. Tailang told us, “Working with both of them was very normal. They were very diligent, down-to-earth people and had a very good experience. Neither of them ever behaved like a star or a star kid in any way.

Rajesh Tailang on not getting desired roles

In the same interview, he also spoke about being a misfit in the Television industry after Balaji took over telly. “The kind of actors they needed were different. They didn’t need actors like us much anymore. I’m not saying that the actors who worked were not good, but there were not many roles left for people like us. They needed uncle-type roles, and I was in an age where I couldn’t play a very young character or a very old one. There was no slot for me. What remained were characters like inspectors, lawyers, doctors—one-day or two-day roles, which were of no use. That was when I saw a different form of struggle,” the Mirzapur actor concluded.

Moreover, he also shared that he was bullied by everyone during his childhood and how he ended up at NSD (National School of Drama). He even spoke about bagging a role in the Doordarshan show “Shanti.”
