RajKummar Rao is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. He has always challenged the actor within himself by doing movies like Trapped, Shahid, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Stree among others. Now, RajKummar will be seen in Raj D&K’s Guns & Gulaabs. The actor recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble and opened up on signing Guns & Gulaabs, his love for Shah Rukh Khan and a lot more.
RajKummar Rao showers his love on Shah Rukh Khan
Speaking of latter, RajKummar Rao has always been vocal about his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan. In this interview, RajKummar revealed King Khan was one of the reasons he chose to become an actor. The actor said, “Most of the North Indian boys would say that we all could connect with him (Shah Rukh Khan). His characters, his charm, and also his journey.”
RajKummar added, “I think what I got attracted towards is of course him as an actor. But his journey, you know being a Delhi boy, Delhi ka ladka Mumbai mein aake itna bada superstar ban gaya that really inspired me and that’s one of the reasons I thought of becoming an actor. I fell in love seeing those stories on screen and seeing him playing those characters.”
The actor went on to add that he is also a huge fan of Manoj Bajpayee and Amitabh Bachchan. Recalling his childhood days, RajKummar shared, “I was raised on Bollywood films. There was a tradition where every weekend we would just watch three-four Hindi films and I just fell in love with them.”
RajKummar talks about actors looking up to him
RajKummar’s journey in Bollywood has been inspiring. Today, he is one of the top actors in the industry. There’s no denying that there are many actors who look up to him. Talking about the same, he said, “I think that’s something very natural. I think Shah Rukh Khan sir also got inspired by someone. So, it happens. It’s very natural because somewhere people see that you know this boy from Gurgaon wanted to be an actor and today he is a working actor so maybe there’s an opportunity, there’s a chance.” The actor went on to add that he lives a very simple life and focuses on giving his best as an actor.
