Riteish Deshmukh on entourage culture
Talking about the entourage culture – as he’s seen actors become superstars during his career, Riteish Deshmukh says, “I’ll tell you one thing – if something is unreasonable, you don’t aid it. If you aid it, you cannot complain about something being unreasonable because you are aiding it.”
Continuing further, he added, “It needs to be a collective responsibility for a film to be successful. It just cannot be an actor’s responsibility or the responsibility of producers or directors. When a film is successful, everyone makes the most of it. But when a film is unsuccessful, some take an emotional hit, but others take an emotional and financial hit, and that hurts the most. So yes, we need to take collective responsibility.”
