Saqib Saleem & Saba Azad on nasty journalists
In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Saqib Saleem talks about the time journalists tried to get news out of him. He said, “No I have come across a few nasty journalists in my life, I don’t wanna take their names because they are slightly known people but, calling me off the record trying to chat with me, ‘Arey what’s happening’, pretending to be friends and when your talking with friends you say a couple of things here and there to joke around.”
He continued, “Then to take that and publish as a headline or, ‘Saqib Saleem says this’, I’m like buddy you called me, congratulating me for the film and we were just chatting you can’t publish that so I feel like lot of stuff has happened with me so now I am very careful as to what I say that I shouldn’t be giving people clickbait stuff because in a 15 sec reel how much context can be set anyway? So be very careful what you’re putting out there.“
When asked Saba she said, “Yeah same, I don’t think I’ve ever been mis-quoted, I always make sure I write my answers, I never do telephonics, so I have absolute control over what words are printed and of course in a world, people can edit a video and the context would be entirely lost because the beginning and the end is gone and they’ve just taken 1 word from here and a reaction from there and created their own narrative, yeah that’ll happen and if you know what you’re truth is, it won’t bother you and people getting affected by that are clearly listening to clickbait news”
Saqib continued, ” And sometimes it’s just clickbait, it doesn’t mean what the headline is, ‘Ay buddy you just want me to click on it’, and put a thumbnail of….. why do this? Just give out news as is.”
