sheeba akashdeep sabir,

Sheeba Akashdeep Sabir rose to fame with her power-packed performances in films like Miss 420, Sanam Teri Kasam, Suryavanshi, and Pyar Ka Rog, among others. Apart from her golden career on the big screen, she also made her successful television and South cinema career. In a recent chat with Bollywood Bubble, Sheeba Agarwal points out why south stars like Rajinikanth are worshipped.

Sheeba Agarwal on South cinema popularity

Talking about the star culture and releases in south back then, the actress remarks, “I don’t understand it entirely. Maybe the films are massive superhits, even though the territory was smaller back then—they were only released in the South. Despite that, their films did incredible business. Back then (though maybe not so much now), what I feel is that actors were not so easily accessible. You wouldn’t spot them every day. They were larger than life. Seeing an actor used to be like a dream—if you saw someone, it was a big deal. Films also performed exceptionally well, were released on time, and were always larger than life.”

She added, “Their styles and presentation were unique. I think they were always ahead of their time, and they still are. South filmmakers are way ahead—they even surpass Hollywood in some ways. They think out of the box—or rather, they don’t even have a box. You can’t see any constraints on their creativity. I don’t know where they get such ideas from. Their work is so much larger than life, yet when you meet them, they are humble.”

Sheeba Akashdeep on south actors being humble

The actress also shares how the actors there are grounded and humble despite massive popularity. She says, “They are grounded people. Despite being such big stars, they don’t show the kind of attitude you sometimes hear about here. You’ll never hear about them being arrogant. They always greet people with folded hands and bowed heads. If a director comes on set, no matter how big the actor is, they will stand up to greet them. In terms of timing, shifts, and even budget management, the South is better—perfect, even. If there’s a 7 AM shift, then by 7 AM, all the actors, with makeup and costumes, no matter their status, are ready for the shot with dialogues prepared. That discipline is unparalleled.”

During the chat, the actress also gets candid about her co-stars including Rajinikanth, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and others.
