EXCLUSIVE: Sheezan Khan on battling lows and tough times: My mom taught me to have sabr (patience)

Sheezan Khan is an India television actor who has worked in TV shows like Jodha Akbar, Sisila Pyaar Ka, Ali Baba – Dastaan-E-Kabul and a few more. He is known for his characters like Sultan Murad Mirza from Jodha Akbar, Vinay Saxena from Silsila Pyaar Ka and Ali Baba from Ali Baba – Dastaan-E-Kabul.

Sheezan will now be a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi season 13, which marks his debut as a contestant in a reality show. Exclusively speaking with Bollywood Bubble, the actor opened up about battling lows and tough times and how he has kept himself patient throughout.

Sheezan Khan on his mother teaching him an important life lesson about patience

We spoke to Sheezan about patience being an important part of the game. We have also heard Rohit Shetty say to the contestants to play the game with patience. With this, we asked him whether he has been patient from the beginning, or has he become patient over the years.

To this he said, “Actually I have always been a very patient kind of a guy. But then mere patience ka aisa mayar hai ki wo ek hadd tak hi rehta hai. (My patience is limited when it comes to certain situations) kyu ki mujhe pata hai ke when I need action in this kind of time, I go all in. Toh wo shuru se hi mere sath raha hai ke jaha par mujhe lagta hai ke patience dikhana zaroori hai, mera zapth bada kamaal ka hai. (So, I have been patient since the beginning. I feel it is important to stay patient, for which I have a very good control over)”

He added, “Aisa mai Urdu me bol sakta hu, kyu ki aap apne aap ko toh jante hi hai. Insaan ko apne baare me pata hi hoti hai kuch cheeze, toh mere andar zapth toh kaafi hai. I can take things. And I have taken things. (As a human, we all know ourselves, for which I think I have control over myself.)”

Speaking about stunts from Khatron Ke Khiladi, he said, “Ye cheeze toh aisa lagta hai ke 10 minute me toh khatam hi ho jayegi naa. Atleast ye time ke sath aa toh rahi hai, toh khatam ho jayengi toh tab tak jhel lo, kar lo, kya pata kuch acha ho jaye. So patience mujhe meri maa ne sikhaya hai, sabr karna mujhe meri maa ne sikhaya hai. Acha agar ho toh uss cheez ko zyada gao mat, sabr karo. Bura agar ho, toh uss cheez pe zyada malaal mat karo, sabr karo. Kyu ki tumhe nahi pata ke khuda ne tumhare liye aage kya rakha hua hai.“

(The stunts come to an end within 10 minutes. So, deal with it until it comes to an end. Who knows if it will turn out to be good. So, my mother has taught me to stay patient. If something good happens, do not exaggerate it, keep patience. And if something bad is happening, do not remorse over it, stay patient. Because, you never know what you have in front of you.)

The actor further got candid about his family supporting him for Khatron Ke Khiladi. He also spoke about his character ‘Ali’ from Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul.
