EXCLUSIVE: Shefali Shah REACTS to Darlings co-star Alia Bhatt’s first National Award win, says ‘but not all good performers get their due’

Bollywood actresses Shefali Shah and Alia Bhatt stunned their fans and followers as they starred together in Darlings. They played the role of the mother-daughter duo and gave the best and most engaging performances in the same. Recently, Alia Bhatt won her first National Award as the best actress for Gangubai Kathiawadi and was elated by her big win. Now, Shefali Shah has reacted to Alia Bhatt winning her first National Award.

We had the chance to get in a candid chat with the Dil Dhadakne Do actress Shefali Shah in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble. During the interview, Shefali Shah expressed her joy as her Darlings co-star won the award. With this, she also opened up about performers getting their dues on a national level.

As Shefali Shah and Alia Bhatt have teamed up in Darlings, we asked her what does she have to say about her co-star winning her first national award. Being a National Award winner herself, Shefali says, “I am so happy that Alia has gotten this.”

Further, we asked Shefal what she has to say about good performers getting their due on a grand level. Responding to this, the Darlings actress says, “I don’t know if it is every good performer. There is so much talent in our country, I don’t even know if they really dig in and felicitate that talent enough. But, I’m sure it is moving there. Yes, you want acclaim, I also think that it boils down to how is the respect translating into work. I just hope that these amazing performers not only get awards but get the work to prove what they do.”

Further in the interview, Shefali Shah also gave a much-awaited update on Delhi Crime 3. Shefali was also overwhelmed as she spoke about getting an Emmy Nomination for Delhi Crime 2.
