Bigg Boss OTT 3 is currently underway and actress Shivangi Khedkar is full-on supporting her bestie Sai Ketan Rao. During an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Shivangi got candid about several things, including Sai’s aggressive behaviour, Lovekesh Kataria and Elvish Yadav’s threats and the abuses their instigating had brought to her social media comment section. Read on to know all she said.
Shivangi Khedkar on Sai Ketan Rao’s aggression
Talking about Sai’s aggression in the show, Shivangi tells Bollywood Bubble, “I’m not justifying his actions, but I’m telling you where it is coming from. He was 11 or 12 years old when whatever happened to him happened. Such kids usually find it tough to trust everyone. They will find their people and stick to them. So that’s what he did. Besides his friends, if someone else says something, it feels like an attack on him. I want to explain why he feels that way – he had a past that made him what he is right now.”
She continued, “But he is slowly, steadily changing as a person. He’s making friends he never made before. Understanding his aggression is more important than just saying, “Oh, he’s aggressive, remove such people.” As a society, we’re saying, “Kids from broken families should be thrown out of society,” or “those kids should not be treated well.” I don’t think it’s fair, so it’s important to understand where it’s coming from. If you’re going to poke him, he’s not going to be nice about it; he’s going to give it back.“
Shivangi on Lovekesh & Elvish’s threats
Commenting on Lovekesh and Elvish Yadav threatening Sai Ketan Rao, Shivangi Khedkar said in Hindi, “This is not done.” The actress continued, “I don’t understand this new way of giving threats and talking to each other. You make a video, put it on social media, and then I’ll respond to it by making a video and uploading it to social media. Guys meet and sort it out. What is this? We are teaching and influencing people in a wrong way, which is not fair. “
She added, “These comments were directed towards Sai, so I don’t think it makes sense for me to talk. But I was pulled into it. My comment section was filled with not Elvish support or pro-Elvish/Lovekesh remarks, they were abusive towards me. You won’t be able to read the comments directed towards me. You can’t read it on camera. I’ve received messages, people have tried sharing my number…”
She continued, “So I think you are influencing your people in the wrong way. You are influencing people in a mob-like nature where you’re telling them, ‘Let’s do this.’ Let’s show aggression. Let’s put down people, and abuse them in the comments. As public figures, they need to be mindful of what they say. They should tell people not to do it. This is not my style should be their take but the take is – ‘I will do this, I will do that after coming out of Bigg Boss.’ In college, you used to fight like this, if you want to still do it – do it. There is law and order in the country, which is pretty stringent…Do what you want”.
