Shriya Pilgaonkar on her mom Supriya Pilgaonkar watching her role in Mirzapur

Shriya Pilgaonkar shares how her mother, actress Supriya Pilgaonkar, is her biggest critic. Shriya recalls the time her mother watched Mirzapur. She said, “I remember, Mom couldn’t even watch ‘Mirzapur’ because it’s such a violent show. So, I had to force her, telling her that it was my first series and to watch it for me despite the violence. When the climax scene came, my mom was watching it like this (hides her face). She said, ‘I can’t watch what’s going to happen. Something is going to happen to you,’ and she started crying. I had to pause it and say, ‘Mom, okay relax’.

She continued,“I realised it was too much for her. Eventually, she watched it but cried through it, and I felt so bad. There are many people who can’t watch violence, but she watched it because of me. Later, she said, ‘Why did you force me to watch it, but you did well.'”

Shriya then mentioned that her mother liked her character, Sweety, in the show. She is the daughter of actors Supriya Pilgaonkar and Sachin Pilgaonkar.

Pilgaonkar was last seen in Broken News season 2 alongside Jaydeep Ahlawat and Sonali Bendre.
