We asked Sobhita that how was it working with the two amazing men- Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor. She shared, “It was beautiful. I was like I love being in a man’s world on this set. But that’s the thing you know when we look at someone oh wow they look so nice. But the effort they put into doing what they do there’s a lot of that. After the first couple of days of looking at someone who looks amazing, you tend to move on after a point. That is when you start appreciating the person for who they are. I really had a ball of a time working on this project.”

On receiving positive response despite working with an ensemble cast
The Night Manager was centered around Aditya aka Shaan and Anil aka Shailendra. Despite that Sobhita’s character of Kaveri was recognized by the audience. Talking about how it feels to receive such a response, Sobhita said, “I think of it like this, if Shaan and Shailendra are like a seesaw then Kaveri is the fulcrum. So while appreciation feels very nice I think I’ve reached a certain place in my journey as an individual and as an actor. If someone has a kind thing to say, I’m grateful, while if someone has criticism to offer then I’ll br objective and try to apply it. But I don’t think it really affects me too much, neither good nor bad. I have reached some kind of a neutral especially after the lockdown.”
Sobhita Dhulipala on being a part of Ponniyin Selvan 1 and 2
Apart from The Night Manager, the actress received immense praise for her act in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. Calling it an amazing experience to work on, the actress shared, “It was beautiful since I got a chance to dance. I love dance but l’ve not really been a part of projects that gave me that scope. So with PS 1 and 2, you’re dancing to a Mani Ratnam song with music by AR Rahman, it’s special. I had an amazing time. I feel like the Vanathi of PS 1 and 2 is so different from Tara of made in heaven, to a kaveri and then something in Ghost Stories where I was like this paranoid pregnant lady. This variety is what really nourishes me makes, me happy and I feel good.”
