Sonam Bajwa, Honsla Rakh actress is an extremely popular face in Punjabi industry. Her charm, flawless personality and exceptional acting skills have made her a household name. Well, talking about Sonam Bajwa. recently , we sat with her for an exclusive interview wherein she elaborated on several things. Sonam also shed light on why she has rejected hindi movies.
The actress on saying No to Hindi films…
As the conversation proceeded, the host asked her about her entry in the Hindi film industry. Sonam said that she feels a certain sense of responsibility for representing Punjabi industry. She further said, “First, I have been really busy in Punjab. Secondly, when you are loved like that, then people and your fans start expecting out of you- acha ab next kya karenge? And for any regional actor the next step is- ye bollywood mein kam karenge. Be it from the south or Punjab.
She further added that as an actor of Punjabi industry, fans expect something out of you. We quote her, “But your fans expect something out of you- when you are making a decision you not only think about ye mere career ke liye kaise rahega, but you also think acha ye mere fans ko kaisa lagega? Like what is that they’re going to think. And now I feel responsible for the fact that in a small way I represent the Punjab industry.”
As the conversation got candid, Sonam Bajwa revealed why she has rejected Hindi films. The Manje Bistre actress said, “So there have been opportunities- sometimes I couldn’t say yes to them because I wasn’t sure. Sometimes I couldn’t say yes to them because I couldn’t manage the dates. Sometimes for some other reasons. I have been asked this number of times. Whenever it is meant to be.” Well, it is clear that she adores Punjabi industry as much as Bollywood. On the same lines, actress even said, “Ek actor ka success ye nahi ki aap bollywood kare”
Well, apart from this, in the same interview, Sonam Bajwa also elaborated on a few other topics like Punjabi industry beauty standards and miss India days.
