Born Bakhtavar Khan, actress Sonam Khan is an actress who has starred in films such as Tridev, Mitti Aur Sona, Lashkar, Kroadh, Kodama Simham, Ajooba, Vishwatma and more. The actress recently sat down with Bollywood Bubble for a quick but candid chat about her career and her previous co-stars. Khan shared the screen with a number of stars, including, Govinda, Chunky Pandey, Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Chiranjeevi, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Naseeruddin Shah and others.
While talking about her past co-stars, BB asked Sonam Khan about her experience working with Govinda. Read on to know what she had to say about sharing the screen with Chi Chi.
Sonam Khan on working with Govinda
Recalling her experience of working with Govinda, Sonam Khan says, “Govinda ji.. Woh toh mujhe haath pakad pakad ke nachate the. Ha, daant padti thi mujhe set par. Wo bolte the, ‘achhi shakal hai to actress banne aa gayi, dance to kar nahi sakti hai. Toh mera haath pakad pakad ke wo mujhe dance karate the. Woh bolte the, ‘Dance karegi Sonam’. (Govinda used to make me dance by holding my hand. I used to get scolded at by him. He used to say that I became an actress only because I got a good face but I can’t dance. So he would make me dance by holding my hand. He used to say, ‘Sonam will dance’.)”.
She added, “He was a very good man, he still is a very good man.“
When asked about 3 actors she would love to reunite with, the ‘Tridev’ actress replied, “I would say Naseeruddin Shah, Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor ji, but he is no more. But I can work with his son Ranbir Kapoor.”
