EXCLUSIVE: Soniya Bansal CALLS OUT Mannara Chopra’s ‘fake’ reaction on Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra’s mention: Wo sab dikhava tha

Bigg Boss 17 contestant Mannara Chopra is popularly known as Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra’s cousin. However, whenever on the show she is mentioned their names, the actress gets defensive. In a recent chat with Bollywood Bubble, evicted contestant Soniya Bansal called out this behaviour of Mannara as fake. She also spoke about Mannara’s obsession with Munawar Faruqui.

Soniya shared that while the contestants thought of Munawar as a strong player, they though of Mannara as innocent. She said that she even tried to explain things to Mannara but she hit back at her for that. However, Mannara was always wanting to connect with Munawar. Soniya said, “Ek din raat mein bhi aake bolti hai ki Munawar mujhse baat nahi karta. Maine kaha Munawar mein kya hai? Humare 15-16 log hain, Munawar hi kyun chahiye? Baat karo na sabse. Nahi, fir bhi Munawar. (One night she comes and tells me Munawar isn’t talking to me. I asked her what is in him? There are 15-16 housemates, talk to them. Why only Munawar? But no, she was only about him.)”

She commented that Mannara wanted to play with Munawar since he was a strong player. She added, “Shayad isne isliye pakda ki ye strong hai, iske sahare main chal jaungi. Maine Mannara ko bola bhi, ki jaise tum dikha rahi ho na personality, wo nahi ho. Maine kaha tum yahaan (pointing to brain) se bahut strong ho. Industry ki ladkiyan dimaag se aisi nahi hoti, bahut hi smart hoti hain. (I feel she held on to him because she thought he is strong, and she can go forward with his support. Even I told Mannara that what she is showing, her personality isn’t that. I told her she is strong from her mind. Girls from the industry are strong from their minds, they are very smart.)”

Mannara being offended by Priyanka and Parineeti’s mention

Soniya also pointed out that Mannara’s agression over Priyanka and Parineeti’s mention on the show was fake. She said, “Ek baat batao, aap Priyanka Chopra ke baare mein aisa kyun soch rahe ho nahi unka naam nahi aana chahiye. In fact, tumne Wikipedia pe to unka hi naam aage show kar raha hai. Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra’s cousin sister, Mannara Chopra. Fir aap Bigg Boss mein jane ke baad kisi ne ye bol diya Parineeti jaisi lag rahi ho, to tumne mudda utha liya. (Why does she think Priyanka Chopra’s name shouldn’t come. In fact, her Wikipedia page has Priyanka and Parineeti’s name first and her listed as their cousin sister. But then if in Bigg Boss someone says you look like Parineeti, you make an issue out of it.)”

She added, “Uska mudde ka matlab hi nahi tha jab tum khud hi dalwa rahe ho. To fir darna kis baat pe tha ki mujhe aisa chupke jana hai? Nahi, wo dikhava tha. Aap log (media) kisi reason se hi to aate ho na, aap log khud se thodi na chaanpte ho. Wo jo kar rahi thi natak wahaan par, to mujhe laga ye sab cheezon se acha hai aap apni personality dikhao, jo aap ho. (It wasn’t something to be made an issue of since you yourself are using that. Why are you scared that you have to go in hiding? That was all a ruse. The media comes to us because of a reason, you don’t put up things just like that. The fakeness she was showing, I thought it’s better if she showed her personality.)”
