A few days ago, Sooraj Pancholi was found ‘not guilty’ by the court in the Jiah Khan death case. As many are aware, Jiah committed suicide on 3rd June, 2013. Following her death, Sooraj was arrested by the Mumbai police under the charges of abetment to suicide. Back then, a six-page letter reportedly penned by Jiah was recovered. In the handwritten note, Jiah described her intimate relationship with Sooraj. She had accused him of physical and mental abuse.

However, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sooraj shared the suicide note that was found after Jiah’s suicide was proved to be ‘fake’. Recalling his tough days, Sooraj shared, “My father and mother were helpless because they couldn’t do anything. My trial was a complete media trial, it was not in court, it was more outside the court.”
Talking about the note, Sooraj revealed, “Now after 10 years, in the proceedings the letter and suicide note have been confirmed false, so why was I arrested.”
The Hero actor went on to add that now that everything is said and done, he wants to ‘move on’ in his life. Sooraj added, “I don’t want to go against the Mumbai police or the authorities, or even Jiah’s mother because I want to move on. If I stick to getting my revenge, its not going to work for me.”
Earlier, in an interview with a media publication, Sooraj revealed that in the court it was proved that Jiah’s six-page letter matched the notebook that was found at the late actress’ house. The notebook belonged to Jiah’s mother Rabia. “The notes inside, the handwriting, is Jiah’s mother’s handwriting,” revealed Sooraj.

After the verdict was announced on 28th April, Sooraj had shared a note on his Instagram. The actor took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, “The Truth Always Wins… #GodIsGreat.”

On the work front, Sooraj made his acting debut with the romantic action film Hero. He later went on to star in Satellite Shankar. During our conversation, Sooraj revealed that he went through a lot professionally. Sooraj admitted to losing projects due to the Jiah Khan case. Now, after acquittal, Sooraj plans to work even harder.
