Sriti Jha comments on regressive TV content
During the interaction, we happened to ask Sriti Jha whether she ever felt hurt when TV content was called regressive. To this, she said, “As a younger person, it might have. But, now it doesn’t. Because also, people who call of all the TV shows regressive, are not the people who are watching all the TV shows. I also understand that you cannot force someone to choose their kind of entertainment. You don’t relate to it, you don’t watch it. So, to them, the only thing that reaches them are the memes. So from that the picture that they get is only regression and it’s okay.”
She added, “I don’t expect validation from someone who is not choosing this entertainment and it’s okay, you watch something else. So, I don’t take offense to it. I think our work is celebrated enough as well. There is a room full of people who want to know more about the show. So that love and validation supersede other things.”
Further in the conversation, Sriti Jha also opened up about her serials and spoke about not auditioning for Kumkum Bhagya. Not only this, she also opened up about working with Karan Johar in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Moreover, Sriti Jha will be seen in her new show Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye.
