EXCLUSIVE: Sumbul Touqeer Khan opens up about her father’s second marriage: My family is even more complete

Actor Sumbul Touqeer Khan’s father Touqeer Hassan Khan got married for the second time in June this year. Her father Touqeer Khan tied the knot with Nilofer on June 15. With this, Sumbul welcomed her new mother and a little step-sister. The Imlie actor even shared glimpses of her father’s second marriage on Instagram. Now, speaking about the new addition to her family, Sumbul expressed her happiness.

When asked to express her happiness on welcoming a new member, Sumbul said, “I think my family which was already complete is even more complete. And I have the youngest sister and she is 3 years old right now. I feel very grateful to each and everything which has happened to me till now.” Earlier, Sumbul said in another interview about her father Touqeer Khan’s second marriage. She said that she is happy and looking forward to welcoming them into our family.

On June 29, 2023, Sumbul posted pictures of her stepmother on her social media. In the first picture, Sumbul was dressed in a black sleeveless suit. On the other hand, her sister, Saniya, wore a pastel blue printed suit. The two were seen hugging their stepmother, who didn’t reveal her face.

During the exclusive chat, we asked Sumbul whether her father’s reaction against Shalin and Tina went against her. Talking about which the actress insisted, “After coming out of the house, what mattered to me the most was how my father and sister felt about me. I don’t care about anything else. Agar kisi aur ke bhi father hote, aur unki bacchi ko aise bola jata tv pe shayad wo insaan kuch aur bhi kar sakta tha. Ek single parent jo raha apne bacho ki Chattan banke khada raha hai, agar us bache ko koi kuch bolega toh parent kyu kuch nahi karega. Mere hisab se whatever my father did was right.”

(If it had been anyone else’s father, and such comments were passed on his daughter on TV, he would have gone to any lengths to protect her. A father who has stood strong in front of his daughters, if anyone says anything to his daughters then why won’t a parent react).”
