She recently spilled the beans on the thought of getting backed by Ajay Devgn on any project.

Tanishaa Mukherji on doing projects backed by brother-in-law Ajay Devgn

Tanishaa reacted to doing regional language projects backed by brother-in-law Ajay Devgn. Speaking exclusively about it to Bollywood Bubble, she expressed, “Well, to be honest, as a family, we are always there to back and support each other’s creative choices. At the same time, just because we are a family, it doesn’t mean we have to work together on every project that’s being made. Creatively and professionally, that doesn’t work. Having said that, if in the future there’s an opportunity that way to work and engage together, why not?”

The actress has been a part of the South cinema as well; she has done films Kantri in Telugu and Unnale Unnale in Tamil. Furthermore, she gave her views on regional language films not getting much attention in the Hindi-speaking belt. Tanishaa expressed, Not at all like that. To be honest, if you had asked me this question 10 years ago, my answer might have been different but now, definitely not. Today, the classification and bifurcation of language are gone, all thanks to OTT. Someone sitting in Uttar Pradesh can enjoy some kickass content from the South industry sitting in their own comfort zone in their very own city and that too as per their own time convenience. Subtitles and dubbing certainly help. So today, the audience only cares about good content irrespective of the language.”

“I think we are going in that direction where we as an audience are just enjoying ‘Indian’ films irrespective of the language. A well-made Bengali film will have an audience in Maharashtra and vice-versa. So, gone are the days when we actually needed to worry about this. Of course, the perception might differ from a producer’s and distributor’s point of view. But for an actor, language is no longer the barrier, ” she concluded.

Earlier, Ajay Devgn produced a Marathi film, Aapla Manus with Nana Patekar. On the work front, Ajay will be next seen in Azaad, Raid 2, De De Pyaar De 2 and Son of Sardaar 2.
