Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s upcoming movie Tiger 3 is set for a strong start at the box office. The advance ticket sales data is in, and so far, the movie has sold around 3.63 lakh tickets. The Maneesh Sharma directed espionage is slated to hit the big screen on Diwali Day – November 12, 2023. Since Tiger 3 is releasing on Laxmi puja day, a Sunday, expectations for its opening are mixed as of now. But looking at the bumper advance booking response, the film is expected to have a huge opening. Over time, it also has the potential to enter 500 crore club emerging as Salman Khan’s highest-grossing movie. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, a trade expert shared that the film has the potential to emerge as highest grosser of 2023.

Will Tiger 3 enter 500 crore club at the Indian box office?

Owing to Tiger franchise popularity, Salman Khan’s film is expected to smash records at the box office. With Pathaan, Jawan, and Gadar 2 cementing their position in 500 crore club, looking at Tiger 3’s scale, same is expected, Sharing his thoughts on same, Trade expert Akshay Rathi remarked, “I’m sure it will go there because purely going by the size, scale, merit of the content and the popularity of this franchise, I have no doubt that should happen.”

Advance booking and opening day prediction of Tiger 3

Talking about the rave response flick is already receiving with a roaring advance booking, trade Akshay Rathi commented, “The advance booking scenario is extraordinary. We have great traction happening even though this is the Lakshmi Puja day when the majority of the people are at home and they are busy with celebrations. Despite that, for a film of this stature, you know, a star of Salman Khan’s stature, the advance bookings are huge and we are looking at a huge day one at the box office. This will only consolidate itself and grow bigger on day two, which is the day after Diwali, considered to be a very beneficial day for the movie business. The fact that they are releasing on this day only shows the kind of confidence that the makers have in the film’s content. And I truly believe that that will allow it to go a long way.”

When asked about the first-day collections, Akshay Rathi replied, “Lakshmi Puja, may not be as ballistic as you expect it to be. So domestically, I think a minimum bottom line net of 35 crores is on the cards for sure. Day two, a bare minimum of 50 crores is on the cards for sure, domestic net I’m talking about. And after that, it’s entirely about, you know, how the movie’s merits and content takes it forward, which I’m sure will be extraordinary.”

For the uninitiated, Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan will be making cameo appearances, and that’s the Diwali treat fans cannot wait for!
