Tina Ahuja on father Govinda’s bullet injury
When asked about the recent bullet injury of her father Govinda, Tina Ahuja said, “Reflecting on what you mentioned about the idea of someone’s time being over, I don’t believe that’s true. Wherever Govinda ji is present, there’s always excitement and fun. These comments from a handful of people—claiming that a movie flop signals the end of his time—are things I’ve been hearing since my school days. That’s just not how it works.”
The actress added, “Honestly, I don’t pay attention to those voices because when Govinda comes on stage, the world dances. It’s as simple as that. I saw the immense love people have for him, even from the ICU, and for that, I’m deeply grateful to God. Everyone is happy, healthy, and at home, and that’s what truly matters. I am being very honest, when this incident took place my sole focus was on my dad. Nothing else mattered to me at that point. I used to see the media, every day they were there. I hadn’t had any focus on them.”
Govinda’s accidental bullet injury
In October 2024, Govinda accidentally sustained a bullet injury to his leg when his licensed revolver misfired at his Mumbai residence. The incident occurred early in the morning as he was handling the firearm, which reportedly had a partially broken lock. The gun discharged a bullet that hit his leg, prompting immediate medical attention. Govinda underwent successful surgery at CritiCare Hospital to remove the bullet and was kept under observation before being discharged a few days later. The actor reassured fans about his recovery through an audio message, expressing gratitude for their support. Investigations confirmed the mishap was accidental, and there was no foul play.
