Tina Datta is one of the most popular actresses in the industry. She rose to fame for portraying Ichcha in the hit TV show Uttaran. Tina has been a part of many TV shows over the years. Last year, Tina participated in the Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 16. From fights with co-contestants to bond with Shalin Bhanot, she made headlines for multiple reasons. Now, in our new episode of Bollywood Bubble’s podcast ‘Let’s Talk With Bollywood Bubble’, Tina opened up about Bigg Boss 16 and a lot more.
Tina Datta calls out Bigg Boss 16 makers
During the candid conversation, Tina Datta called her Bigg Boss journey a ‘bumpy ride’ before calling out the makers for being ‘biased’. The actress said, “It is not easy to be a part of the show if you’re a strong-headed, opiniated, independent woman who’s got a voice of her own because then toh aapko dabaya hi jayega. You take anybody’s name, you take Archana’s (Gautam) name, you take Priyanka (Chahar Choudhary) who was strong, who were opiniated, who had a point of view who could speak after themselves. Har hafte unko ko hi bash kia jaata tha. (Every weekend they were being targetted).”
She further called Bigg Boss a ‘tricky show’. She further stated that it’s really hard to find a balance in the show.
Tina talks about getting trolled
Tina added, “Even today, people will troll me and tell me things like ‘Oh, she’s not a dog lover. She’s such a bitch.’ They will abuse the shit out of me. But how do I tell them that you can’t really justify and tell them or show them that I’m actually a dog lover.” For the uninitiated, Bigg Boss brought a dog named Maahim inside the house last year.

Recalling the Bigg Boss days, Tina said, “One fine morning it was me who always used to clean Maahim’s bartan and it was me who would always fetch her from the the storeroom. It was me who used to give her water every morning. Woh mere hi room mein rehti thi. One day it was 2-3 in the afternoon and I did not have my breakfast, I did not have my lunch and I just sat to have my food after showering. I said okay somebody else can clean her (Maahim) poop and you turn me and run an entire freaking episode of how I’m so not a dog lover. It really not justifies.”
She continued, “How can you justify to the audience? Bas yeh sab toh aapko dikha hi nahi na? Naa 24/7 mein aapko dikhate, na joh ek ghante ka telecast hota hai usne aapko dikhate. Lekin agar mein aapko boldu ki aap badmash ho toh audience bhi yehi manegi na. Agar host bhi aapko bolde ki ha aapne yeh kiya hai so it’s like a stamp. ( You don’t see all of this, do you? Neither do they show you 24/7, nor do they show you during the one-hour telecast. But if I tell you that you are mischievous, the audience will believe the same, won’t they? If the host also tells you that yes, you have did this). And you really can’t prove yourself. How are you supposed to prove yourself?”
During the conversation, Tina also spoke about her fight with Uttaran co-star Rashami Desai, her idea of love, and a lot more.
