EXCLUSIVE: Uorfi Javed will never return to TV due to its torturous environment, says, “Kutto ke tarah treat karte hai”

Uorfi Javed has been well-known in India ever since she appeared on the first season of Bigg Boss OTT. The actress – who is known for her quirky fashion sense, has been part of several TV shows, including Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Meri Durga, Bepannaah, Jiji Maa and more. During an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the actress got candid about her TV career and her experience doing shows.

The actress also spoke about whether or not she would return to the TV industry. Read on to know all she said.

Uorfi on returning to TV

When asked if she would be game to doing a TV show today, the actress flatly replied, “No.” When asked about her experience working in the TV industry, Uorfi said, “Not good at all.”

Elaborating on her experience working in TV, Ms Javed says, “See, if you aren’t the lead – I was a side character in the show, then there are difficulties; they do not treat you nicely at all. Kuch kuch sets pe bohot badtameezi karte hai, kutto ke tarah treat karte hai. Bohot ganda treatment hota hai. Kuch production house bohot bekar hai yaar. Why lie? (On some sets, people are disrespectful; they treat you like dogs. You are treated badly. Some production houses are also horrible.)”

Commenting on payment delays, she continued, “Bohot late karte the, kaat bhi lete the. Bohot harami log hai industry mein. Bohot gandi halat thi meri TV mein kaam karke kyuki main side character karti thi toh meri koi aukaat bhi nahi thi. Bohot rulate hai. (They delay payments and cut salaries a lot. They are scoundrels. I was in a bad state while doing TV because I was a side character and had no standing. They made me cry.) “
