Vedang Raina on debutantes facing criticism
In a candid chat, Vedang Raina shared how coming from a legacy came with its own baggage and how they were affected by it. Vedang says, “We always understood it as a group that there’s a certain baggage you bring when you come from a certain legacy. For the three of them, obviously, it is rough. They were getting criticism even before the film had come out and before anything at all. They have faced it from very young age. I just think that it comes with a space and you can’t really do much about it.”
He added, “Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and people are always going to say things and you need to decide what you are going to let in and what you are going to keep out. I think it is important to be thick-skinned as an actor because criticism is a part of the job. There are so many eyes on you. It’s not like other fields and the public is watching you and they are gauging what you are doing and are judging your performances. So, it comes with a territory and people are going to say things. You just need to be thick-skinned, keep going and keep improving.“
Further in the interview, Vedang Raina also opened up about his experience of shooting with the cast of The Archies.
