Uorfi Javed talks about Bollywood
When asked if she’s planning to move to Bollywood, Uorfi said, “Abhi toh aisa kuch hai nahi offer (I don’t have any offers). I’ll be very honest. Mera na Bollywood wala woh sapna nahi hai. I feel Bollywood is thoda overrated. (Bollywood is not my dream. I feel Bollywood is overrated).”
She added, “You don’t need to be a Bollywood celebrity to be famous now. I always wanted to be famous. Thoda bohot woh agaya hai mere pass bina Bollywood movie kare. Toh abhi woh Bollywood wala joh sapna hai, though I want to act, kisi aur medium se ayega toh I would love that. But, I don’t aspire a Bollywood movie or something. (I became popular without bagging any Bollywood movie. I want to act and if an opportunity comes then I would love that).”

Uorfi on having contacts
During the candid conversation, Uorfi also said that having contacts makes no difference. The actress said, “I have never met people to make contacts. Contacts banane se kuch nahi hota hai. Koi kaam nahi de raha hai thik hai. Party mein jaake, logon se milne se agar kaam milne lage toh Mumbai mein sab kaam kar rahe hote industry mein. Sab hero heroine ban chuke hote. Contacts se kya farak padta hai. (Honestly, making contacts don’t help. No one is giving you work. If going to a party, meeting people will get you work, then everyone in the industry would be working. Everyone would’ve become actor and actresses. Contacts make no difference).”
She added, “You need to have that kind of a background to get into films. Or either you are that actor jisko ignore karna hi mushkil hai. Contacts party mein jaane se kuch nahi hota. Aise toh bade bade producers apne doston ko kaam nahi de paa rahe hai. Hume kya denge party mein ek milke. (You have to be an actor who others can’t ignore. Going to party makes no difference. Big producers are not able to give their friends any work in the industry. So, what will they give us after meeting them at a party).”
Furthermore, Uorfi also spoke about rejections, having suicidal thoughts during the initial days of her career, and a lot more.
