zakir hussain, raees, shah rukh khan,

Actor Zakir Hussain is gearing up for his next release, Murshid which will stream on Zee5. He has an impressive filmography as he has been a part of some prominent films. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Zakir Hussain shares how Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees is mentioned in his filmography despite not being a part of it.

Zakir Hussain clarifies he is not a part of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees

During the chat, we asked the actor about his take on actors getting easily replaced from a project. To this, he says, “What happens is that if you look at IMDb, there are a few projects listed that I haven’t worked on, like “Raees”. It’s listed in my profile, but I don’t know who added it, as I didn’t work on it. So, I understand that sometimes you might be considered for a role and then not cast, and so your name might still be listed under consideration. Toh jab bhi koi mujhse poochta hai ki aapne Raees main kaam kiya hai mai kehta hoon nahi, wo galti se kisi ne daal diya. (So if anyone asks me whether I have worked in Raees, I say someone has mentioned it by mistake).”

He adds, “Similarly, there are times when some programs get shelved for various reasons like writing or direction issues, or if the actress’s performance is not satisfactory. It depends on the output. We try our best to perform as required and bring it properly in front of the camera, but sometimes things don’t work out. It’s unfortunate for everyone involved. Recently, I had an experience where a project didn’t work out even after 15 days of shooting, and it got shelved or is being rewritten. Toh isko main ye nahi maantaa ki are yeh kya ho gaya, main toh loot gaya, barbaad ho gaya. (I don’t believe losing an opportunity has ruined anything). Every person wants their work to be remembered and talked about.”
