Alia Bhatt looks captivating in black Sabyasachi saree with pearl necklace, reminds us of Deepika Padukone’s looks

Actor Alia Bhatt who is the executive producer of the upcoming show Poacher attended the exclusive screening of the original crime series in London. For the event, Alia picked a stunning velvet black saree from the collection of Sabyasachi. The black saree was paired with a sleeveless matching blouse. She pulled her hair back into a bun with minimal makeup but a bold red lip colour.

Bhatt rounded her look with pearl layered chains and matching earrings. Though Alia Bhatt looked stunning, her look reminded us of Deepika Padukone’s previous looks. Deepika Padukone also donned a similar black saree from Sabyasachi back in 2023 while attending the Indian Sports Honours in Mumbai. She teamed her saree with full black sleeves and she looked royal by all means.

Not just the saree, Alia’s jewellery also seemed inspired by Deepika. A similar layered chains were donned by the Bajirao Mastani actor for the Star Screen Awards in 2018. That’s not it. At the YWC Fashion event in 2016, Deepika wore a black midi dress by Sabyasachi and accessorised her outfit with a statement pearl necklace. Talking about her production venture, Alia Bhatt shared, “I met Richie nearly two years ago and we happened to speak about Poacher. Watching the series as an audience, me and my sister Shaheen, who is also my partner at Eternal Sunshine Productions, were so moved that we instantly knew we had to be a part of it in a meaningful way. What we watch and consume has the power to slowly seep into the mindsets and DNAs of our audience. Especially, young minds who aspire to become a force for good. Entertainment has the power to influence minds and I believe I could use my voice to spread awareness about such a crucial message.”

Alia will be next seen in Jigra which is also co-produced by her.
