Shloka Ambani looks PHAT as she makes heads turn in a recreation of Kareena Kapoor’s iconic Bole Chudiyan ensemble at Anant Ambani & Radhika Merchant’s Sangeet function

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet function – held on Friday, July 5, was a star-studded affair that saw top names of the entertainment, sports and political industries in attendance. Aside from the stars putting their best fashion foot forward, the Ambani ladies – Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani, Shloka Ambani and Radhika all slayed several looks that night. While all the looks are iconic, Shloka is an ensemble inspired by Kareena Kapoor’s iconic Bole Chudiyan ensemble is winning hearts.

One of the many looks Shloka Ambani wore to her brother-in-law Anant Ambani and soon-to-be sister-in-law Radhika Merchant’s sangeet ceremony was a peach lehenga inspired by Kareena Kapoor’s iconic Bole Chudiyan look for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. While Kareena’s look featured a backless blouse with sleeves, Shloka’s cropped blouse had a jewelled one-shoulder neckline and a backless design. Her look included Resham and sequin embroidery, and butterfly-adorned tassels on the hem.

Shloka wore the blouse with a matching floor-sweeping lehenga skirt featuring an A-line silhouette, floral Resham embroidery, and peach sequin embellishments. She completed the ensemble with a matching embroidered dupatta decked in tassels and Resham work. She accessories the look with luxurious jewels, including a diamond necklace, dangling earrings, kadhas, bracelets, and statement rings. Her glam look included black eyeliner, kohl-lined eyes, mascara, berry-toned lips, and a ponytail for her locks.

Diya Mehta Jatia and Manish Malhotra shared Shloka’s look and details about it on their Instagrams. They captioned the post, “looking PHAT! While conceptualising the sangeet look we wanted to go for something fun, elegant and “iconic”. After multiple rounds of discussions, we thought of dipping into the archives and recreated the OG @manishmalhotra05 ‘bole chudiyan’ look. It was an absolute blast!!!“

Reacting to the post, Kareena Kapoor Khan wrote on her Instagram Stories, “Bole Chudiyaaan (rainbow and pink heart emojis). @shloka11 you look gorgeous.” 

Anant-Radhika wedding

Anant and Radhika’s wedding ceremonies will kick off on July 12. The first ceremony of the 3-day-long festivities will be the auspicious Shubh Vivah – for which the dress code is Indian traditional. July 13 is the Shubh Aashirwad, and the dress code for the same is Indian formal. The wedding festivities will conclude on July 14 with the Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception. The dress code for this is Indian chic. All these functions will be held at the Jio World Centre in BKC.
