Reviving heirloom saree, Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding looks remind us how to keep it minimal and classy

Actor Sonakshi Sinha had an intimate wedding on June 23 with her boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal at her Bandra residence. The wedding was attended by their close friends and friends but several Bollywood stars attended their wedding reception bash. Sonakshi and Zaheer opted for a simple and minimal wedding as they just had a registered marriage. Just like their wedding, Sonakshi Sinha even opted for minimal outfits that were wildly applauded by netizens.

First, the Heeramandi actor was seen promoting sustainable fashion when she upcycled her mother Poonam Sinha’s wedding saree. She wore a stunning off-white chikankari saree along with gold pearl jewellery for her wedding day. However, she looked perfect as she reminded the future brides of sustainable fashion. That’s not it, she also revived the heirloom saree, showing us how to pick a low-cost saree for the big day! During the wedding reception party, Sinha picked a ‘Chand Buta’ red Varanasi silk brocade saree from the collections of Raw Mango which looked so royal.

The motifs of chand buti or the crescent moon only added beauty to the saree and Sonakshi wearing it for her D-day makes it even more special. For the unversed, her saree costs Rs 79,800 and it could be the best for the wedding instead of opting for heavy lehengas.

Their wedding was an intimate affair with only friends and family in attendance. Sonakshi and Zaheer had a registered marriage at her Bandra residence.
