On Sunday, actor Sonakshi Sinha exchanged her vows with her boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal. Unlike any other Bollywood celeb, she opted for a low-key wedding with only her friends and family in attendance. For her wedding day, Sonakshi Sinha wore a stunning off-white chikankari saree with a matching blouse and it was revealed that she wore her mother Poonam Sinha’s wedding dress. She upcycled her mother’s saree for the special day and this priceless gesture gets her love in abundance. However, she is not the only one to endorse sustainable fashion or have a low-cost wedding trousseau.

Given that Bollywood celebs and even brides opt for a heavy lehenga or designer wear for their special day. However, some chose to use their mother or mother-in-law’s wedding outfits on their wedding days. The Crew actor even opted for the same jewellery and she looked stunning.

Actor Rana Daggubati’s wife Miheeka Bajaj wore her mother’s bridal outfit during her Bhaat ceremony. She looked elegant and her mother was emotional to see her in the outfit. Miheeka’s mother told Vogue, “She wore my wedding lehenga. When I first saw her in the outfit, I burst out crying.“

Angad shared a beautiful wedding ring with Neha Dhupia which is actually his family ring. It was a ring that had been passed on for generations. A source had revealed to a media portal back then: “This is a family legacy that is now passed on to Neha and Angad.”
