A famous stand-up comedian, a popular face on YouTube thanks to 'Pretentious Movie Reviews', the dashing Kanan Gill made his big screen debut opposite Sonakshi Sinha in the movie 'Noor'. He managed to pull off the supporting character quite well, however, the movie didn't do wonders at the box office. Is he your pick for the best male debutant this year?

Suraj Sharma

Suraj Sharma, had already established himself thanks to the American survival drama 'Life of Pi'. His performances was much loved and he even won loads of awards for the same. However, he only made his debut in Bollywood with Anushka Sharma's production 'Phillauri'. For someone who already boasts of nominations and awards, this role wasn't that tough to pull off. A character scared of ghosts with a comical twist did earn him rave reviews, but sadly, the movie didn't work at the box office or even impress the critics. Will he make the cut to turn the winner for the debut trophy male?

Aadar Jain

Hailing from a star family has its own set of pressures on the star kid and this was no different for Aadar Jain, the grandson of Raj Kapoor. However, instead of going for the easy breezy rom-com, the actor chose a raw and edgy movie like 'Qaidi Band' to make his big screen debut. Aadar earned praises for his performance but sadly, the movie tanked at the box office.

Adnan Siddiqui

When it's a Sridevi movie, all eyes are on the powerhouse performer and the movie 'MOM' proved it yet again with Sridevi delivering one of the best performances of her career. However, Adnan Siddiqui, the one who played the character of her husband in the movie, was also fabulous in his act. The actor, who is a known face in Pakistan, made his Bollywood debut with this movie, and his performance was simply amazing to earn him a spot in the list.
